Aufgrund des 60. Jahrestages des Élysée-Vertrags ist dieses Jahr der Festival-Fokus vermehrt auf die deutsch-französische Freundschaft gerichtet. Diese äußert sich mitunter durch die Zusammenarbeit mit grenzüberschreitenden Kulturinstitutionen der Großregion, wie dem Kooperationsprojekt mit dem in Saargemünd liegenden Kunstraum “Castel Coucou“.
Dieser Kunstraum gestattet der französischen Künstlerin Nina Queissner eine Recherche-Residency mit anschließender Ausstellung. Die Künstlerin wird auf dem Experimance Festival mithilfe eines performativen Vortrags Einblicke in ihre aktuelle, künstlerische Forschung geben.
Due to the 60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, the festival focus this year is increasingly on Franco-German friendship. This is sometimes expressed through cooperation with cross-border cultural institutions in the Greater Region, such as the cooperation project with the „Castel Coucou“ art space in Saargemünd.
This art space allows the French artist Nina Queissner a research residency followed by an exhibition. At the Experimance Festival, the artist will give an insight into her current artistic research with the help of a performative lecture.
Nina M. W. Queissner, *1990, has studied Fine Arts and electro-acoustic music in France and in Belgium. Her practice articulates through installation, video and performance works, as well as sound recording- and design and composition for cinema sound and radio-broadcasts. With the tools of recording technologies and soundscape composition, Nina develops a practice-based research which inquires the experiential dimension of sound in its relation with landscape and environment.

Castel Coucou – Raum für zeitgenössische Kunst in Sarreguemines, organisiert Ausstellungen und Residenzen junger Künstler*innen und achtet darauf, eine echte Nähe zu den Künstler*innen und dem Publikum herzustellen.
Castel Coucou hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Bevölkerung für zeitgenössische Kunst zu sensibilisieren, die mit dem täglichen Leben in Verbindung steht (Design, Mode, Architektur…). Es geht darum, sich der Bedeutung des kulturellen Schaffens und der Verbindungen bewusst zu werden, die es über gemeinsame Problematiken zwischen den Bevölkerungsgruppen knüpft. Außerdem können junge Künstler, die Kunstworkshops leiten, den Zugang zum aktuellen Kunstschaffen fördern und auch den Eltern vermitteln.
The aim of this cooparation is to facilitate a cross-border artistic exchange and to create sustainable artistic structures and networks.
Castel Coucou – Space for Contemporary Art in Sarreguemines, organises exhibitions and residencies of young artists and takes care to establish a real proximity with the artists and the public.
Castel Coucou aims to make the population aware of contemporary art that is linked to everyday life (design, fashion, architecture…). It is about becoming aware of the importance of cultural creation and the links it forges between populations through common issues. In addition, young artists leading art workshops can promote access to current artistic creation and also communicate it to parents.
